The “Baku ID” innovation festival, Azerbaijan’s and the region’s main startup innovation event, created with the support of the SABAH.HUB Innovation Center, provides an excellent opportunity for those looking to present their startups and attract investors. The event, supported by the Ministry of Science and Education, SOCAR, C4IR, PASHA Holding, International Bank of Azerbaijan, Mappable, and IDDA as main sponsors, will take place on June 27-28 at the Baku Crystal Hall, and tickets are now on sale for the third edition of this event.
This year’s “Baku ID” event will feature over 200 local and international investors, more than 100 startups from both local and international markets, 5,000 participants, and over 50 partners. This major event offers an unparalleled opportunity for startups to attract investors’ attention. Within the framework of the event, a startup fund has been created with the support of venture funds such as “Startup Wise Guys,” “White Hill Capital,” “Caucasus Ventures,” “MOST Ventures,” “Startupbootcamp,” “Aloqa Ventures,” and “SABAH.fund,” with an agreed budget of 1,000,000 USD. However, this amount continues to increase with additional partner support. This is also the largest prize fund ever awarded at an innovation event in the country, marking many firsts for the development of the “Baku ID” ecosystem. Opportunities for startups do not end here. With the financial support of the International Bank of Azerbaijan, startups can compete for a 15,000 AZN grant prize during the event under the “Startup Battle” concept.
The event will feature notable speakers such as Ayumi Moore AOKI, Roman Levrentev, Dana Al Salem, and companies like “Google,” “Sandbox,” “Hungri Games,” and “HepsiBurada Global.” Their speeches and presentations will provide great motivation for startups to develop and grow their projects. Throughout the event, startups will have ample opportunities to connect with investors, present their ideas, and potentially secure investments.
It should be noted that the “Baku ID” innovation festival has supported the development of dozens of startups and informed thousands of people about the innovation ecosystem during its period of activity. Overall, it has achieved success in securing over 1.7 million AZN in investments for startups.
