According to car.news, Lexus has unveiled its new EV flagship in Japan, the RZ600e F Sport Performance, a bold evolution of the RZ lineup. While the updated RZ range hasn’t yet reached Australian showrooms, the RZ600e is already turning heads with more power and aggressive styling.

Based on the RZ550e, the RZ600e now delivers a total system output of 313kW—a 13kW increase credited to a “reassessment of battery output limits,” says Lexus. Despite the extra oomph, 0-100km/h times remain at 4.4 seconds. Both the front and rear motors are rated at 167kW and 268Nm, ensuring smooth, high-performance electric driving.

The SUV keeps the 77kWh battery pack, which reportedly delivers 525km under the CLTC standard. For comparison, the RZ550e achieves around 450km on a full charge under WLTP measurements.

Visually, the RZ600e F Sport Performance is unmistakable. According to car.news, it features a carbon-fibre aero kit with a prominent front splitter, rear diffuser, and twin tailgate spoilers. Additional carbon-fibre touches include the roof, bonnet vents, and the styling element below the headlights. Carbon-fibre turning vanes extend from the wheel arches, giving the SUV a sharper, wider stance than its siblings.

The RZ600e rides on 21-inch black Enkei wheels with 255/40 Yokohama Advan Sport tyres at the front and 295/35 at the rear. Braking is upgraded with 20-inch discs and six-piston aluminum monoblock calipers up front.

Inside, the cabin features a yoke-style drive-by-wire steering wheel, blue accents, and Ultrasuede-trimmed front sports seats crafted via an integrated foam moulding process. Buyers can choose between Black with Hakugin II matte white or Black with Neutrino Grey paint, with the former accented by electric blue highlights.

Lexus describes the RZ600e F Sport Performance as a “special edition,” priced from ¥12,165,000 (A$116,000) in Japan. It remains unclear whether the RZ600e will be sold outside Japan, though the RZ550e and RZ500e are confirmed for Australia.

The Lexus RZ600e firmly establishes itself as the brand’s EV flagship, combining extra power, striking carbon-fibre detailing, and an exclusive interior, according to car.news.
